Smallcost is a family business committed to quality, trustworthy and reliable service. First opened in 1972, Mr Sam Small launched Smallcost Carpets in his hometown of Ballymena. Quickly building up a reputation for great quality, value for money carpets a second store was opened in Coleraine in 1989, to cater to our many customers on the North Coast.

Do you offer a fitting service?
Yes, we have a great team of fitters all with years of experience. Each fitter that works with us takes great pride in their work and has the same high standards as ourselves.
Is fitting included in the price per YD²?
No, the price you see is the price for the flooring materials. The fitting price is worked out for each individual job, as type of flooring, room size and if underlay is required will alter the price.
What do I need to do before fitting?
Before fitting we’d ask that the room would be completely clear of all furniture and old flooring, unless otherwise arranged. For a fee, fitters can move furniture, lift old flooring and dispose of it. This must be arranged prior to fitting as it is a charged service.
Do I really need underlay? What’s the point?
We recommend underlay as not only does it soften your step on the carpet, but it lengthens the life and protects the pile of the carpet too. We have a wide range of underlay and something to fit any budget.
Do you offer any payment plans?
Unfortunately, we do not offer any payment plans. All orders must be paid in full before the day of fitting.
What can I do with my wastage/off cuts?
We offer a binding service that can turn any spare pieces of carpets into mats. If you bring the wastage in store, we can arrange for them to be bound to your desired size and ready to collect again within a week.
